This course is an introduction to foundations of law and legal systems. While students will review criminal and civil cases, contract law is a primary focus of business law, and will be emphasized in this course. Guest speakers (including attorneys, police officers, and other members of the legal discipline) are an integral part of the course to provide perspective and real world examples. Students will participate in a mock trial case as part of the course curriculum. Prerequisite: Completion of Introduction to Business with a minimum grade of “C” or above and/or teacher recommendation.
