World History will investigate significant events, individuals, developments, and processes from 1750 to the present. By examining transformative changes during this period, students will develop a better sense of our past, present, and future while using skills, practices, and methods employed by historians. Students will analyze primary and secondary sources, develop historical arguments, make historical connections, and utilize reasoning about comparison, causation, and continuity and change over time in the quest to gain a greater understanding of our shared past and understand its connection to the world we live in today. Honors Prerequisite: 8th Grade Teacher Recommendation
