By integrating the study of history, psychology, sociology, and other social sciences, the student will develop an understanding and awareness of the events that led to the atrocities of genocide over the course of human history, specifically that of the Nazi Holocaust of 1933-1945. Students will be provided a forum to understand how human nature and behavior leads to the violation of human rights and apply this knowledge to multiple examples of injustice. A research project is required. Prerequisite: Minimum grade of “B” in their last core Social Studies class.
