ENGLISH 4L
(SPE1925) 

English 4L focuses on British and American literature with an emphasis on self-identity. Through texts such as The Canterbury Tales, Macbeth, and I Am Not Your Perfect Mexican Daughter, along with selected short stories and poetry, students will explore the effects of internal and external conflicts, cultural identity, personal relationships, and moral and social dilemmas. The course includes various speaking, listening, and writing assignments. Students will complete formal writing tasks, including MLA-format papers, argumentative essays, and creative pieces. Additionally, there will be a strong focus on daily grammar exercises and vocabulary enhancement in each unit. Prerequisite: Successful completion of English 3L.
