ADVANCED PLACEMENT 2D ART & DESIGN (Grades 11-12)

Advanced Placement 2D Studio (AP Photography) is an all year course. It is a rigorous class which is appropriate for the serious photography student seeking to earn college credit. Students will develop a portfolio including 12 Concentration images, 12 Breadth images and 5 Quality images. Portfolios consist of fine art photography, digital imaging, collage, alternative processes, graphic design and illustration. Students must meet the standards of the evaluation as described in the College Board Advanced Placement Program.  The actual portfolio submitted to the College Board for assessment consists of 24 images of the student’s artwork and 5 quality photographs. Please review the AP Section in the tab above entitled "Course Levels and Prerequisites" before selecting this course. Prerequisite: Photo 2 and teacher recommendation. This is a Level 2 IB Career Programme Course.
