HONORS JEWELRY & FINE METALS 2 (Grades 10-12)

This honors level course will have students expanding on their work with nonferrous metals using hand tools and three dimensional design software & concepts. Students will learn more advanced techniques including 3D design software, soldering, casting, and stone setting. Students will continue to conceptualize throughout history. Emphasis will be placed on critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and innovation. Students will be expected to maintain a sketchbook either digital or paper, as well as a digital portfolio.  Prerequisite:  Fine Metals 1 with a minimum grade of “B” and/or teacher recommendation. This is a Level 1 IB Career Programme Course.
