HONORS APPLIED CERAMICS TECHNOLOGY 2 (Grades 10-12)

This honors level course will have students advancing their knowledge and skillset of hand building and wheel-thrown ceramic works while incorporating additional 3D technologies. Students will continue to explore and conceptualize ceramic works throughout history, creating pieces for purpose. Emphasis will be placed on critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and innovation. Students will be expected to maintain a sketchbook either digital or paper, as well as a digital portfolio. Prerequisite: Applied Ceramics Technology 1 with a minimum grade of “B” or teacher recommendation. This is a Level 1 IB Career Programme Course.
