AP Seminar is an interdisciplinary, college level course that encourages students to demonstrate critical thinking, collaboration, and academic research skills on topics of the student's choosing. Students will develop and practice the skill sin research, collaboration, and communication needed in any academic discipline. Students will investigate topics in a variety of subject areas, write research-based essays, and design and give presentation both individually and as part of a team. Successful completion of this course provides students the opportunity to pursue the AP Seminar & Research Certificate or AP Capstone Diploma. Prerequisite: Teacher or Counselor recommendations required AND successful completion of Honors or AP course in the content areas of English, Science or Social Studies.
