Sixteen Plymouth Whitemarsh High School students performed recently in the Montco Band, a musical group made up of high school students from Abington, Hatboro-Horsham, Springfield Township, Upper Dublin, Upper Moreland, and Wissahickon high schools.

The students played together at the festival held at Wissahickon High School on Jan. 16. Lukas Koskela played an alto sax solo on a medley of songs from "Wicked." PW's Mrs. Kaufman conducted "Inchon" by Robert W. Smith, which included Davin Haley playing an alto sax solo, and Lukas Koskela and Katie Abai creating helicopter sounds in the audience. Hugo McLaughlin played drums on a medley of songs by "The Doors." The seven band directors collaborated to perform a flute choir arrangement of "What a Wonderful World" to honor Mr. Detato, the Abington Band Director.

Bassoonist Ace Cratin said, "I really enjoyed the music and performing with seven different conductors."
