Plymouth Whitemarsh High School girls wrestling team builds for the future

The Plymouth Whitemarsh High School girls wrestling team ended their season with successes that they hope will help to build their team in the coming years.

Senior Claire Carrington is one of the founding members of the team, having joined in her sophomore year. She is the first female wrestler at PW to be a regional qualifier in 2025, and this year received Suburban One League Honorable Mention for the second year in a row.  In addition, this season she placed at Escape the Rock, Howdy Duncan, Battle for the Buck, and Panther Prowl tournaments. 

This year, more students joined the team, including Lia Hill, McKayla Holiday, Nicole Winter, and Adrianna Wilson (who started but did not finish the season). McKayla and Nicole each participated in their first wrestling tournaments/matches ever and got one win in their first season. Lia did well at the Panther Prowl tournament, going 3-2 and had an impressive outing at her first District qualifier, going 2-2.
