The Plymouth Whitemarsh High School (PWHS) Scholarship Fund was formed in the fall of 1986 by interested individuals who felt there was a major need to help deserving students realize their educational dreams. They felt that the ever increasing costs of higher education were a serious problem for high school seniors and a scholarship organization would be a way to help many of these talented young people realize their dreams.

Scholarships are awarded to students attending technical schools, two and four-year colleges and other post-secondary institutions. Awards are outright grants, payable directly to the students. Since the Fund awarded its first two scholarships totaling $800, it has helped more than 700 PWHS graduating seniors with awards totaling more than $1 million.

The PWHS Scholarship Fund continues to seek contributions to keep this worthwhile program underway and is now under the auspices of the Colonial School District Education Foundation. Tax deductible contributions may be sent to the PWHS Scholarship Fund via the colonialsd.org/foundation webpage. Select "Donate" and then "Scholarship Fund."
