Quick Course Guide for Freshman Year (8th to 9th)
The Basics: Your Core Classes
9th grade students are required to take course in the following content areas:
- English (2 credits)
- Science (1 or 2 credits)
- Math (1 or 2 credits)
- History (1 credit)
Note: The number of credits are determined by teacher recommendations.
Students typically have 3 additional elective credits after selecting the above core courses, but this will depend on selections for physical education, music, reading and world language. Health and Fitness 1 is a core class but can be taken in Grades 9 or 10.
