Juniata Volleyball National Champs 2024

Congratulations to PWHS alum and Juniata College junior Sophia Repholz and the rest of the members of the NCAA National Champion women’s volleyball team!

Earlier this month, the Juniata College Eagles cemented their status as a dynasty as they topped the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater 3-2 (25-19, 25-19, 15-25, 26-28, 15-10) to win their third consecutive NCAA National Championship.

“Being a part of this group of girls is so special,” said Repholz. “Just going into the practice gym every day and working as hard as we do and knowing that it ultimately pays off in the end is honestly just an unreal experience that I can’t describe.”

The Juniata team completed another perfect season, finishing 35-0 for the second year in a row and extending their remarkable winning streak to 97 consecutive matches.

A four-year starter for the Colonials, Sophia led the Suburban One League in digs her freshman and sophomore years and reached the 1000 career dig mark as a junior. The libero/defensive specialist finished her high school career with the school record of 1,388 digs. She was named Suburban One League All American Conference First Team in 2019, 2020, and 2021.
