PW alum Jessica Taylor establishes online book store for young adult fiction
As a junior at Plymouth Whitemarsh High School, Jessica (Cohn) Taylor took a creative writing class that would change her life. Ten years after first learning about careers in publishing at PW, the Class of 2014 alum launched The Reading Chamber, an online bookstore for young adult fiction.
"My creative writing teacher was Mr. Costanzo," said Jessica. "I also had Mrs. Hoffman that same year, and the junior research project she did combined with Mr. Costanzo's class actually pushed me toward a degree in publishing."
The Reading Chamber features traditionally published authors as well as self-published ones, blind dates with a book, book box subscriptions, and more. The bookstore aims to be a home for Young Adult (YA) book lovers and a space for teens to find their next favorite reads.

After leaving PWHS, Jessica graduated from the University of North Carolina Wilmington with a degree in creative writing and a publishing certificate, and worked in the hybrid publishing space for over six years. She loves working with readers and authors alike and plans to open a physical store location in the future.
